Hasyim welcomed us to his traditional village of Tamansari, introduced us to his family, and hosted us in his homestay with delicious homecooked meals. The next day our dedicated driver took us smoothly to Kawah Ijen while Hasyim guided us with utmost care. A true human immersion far removed from mass tourism.
